Who doesn't love hanging out in Mom and Dad's bed???

I always loved hanging out in my parents bed watching cartoons, etc...This is from this morning...I think it's so cute:) Veronica was relaxing and watching a Scooby while Mom finished getting dressed and ready before we headed to Fargo. I think she looks so cute with the pillows all propped up behind her. Fun:)

Cutest kid in the world...HANDS DOWN!

Have you ever had a moment where you were quite positive that your kid was the cutest kid in the whole world? No questions asked...you just knew it...
So tonight we went to Wednesday night lent service at church and the dinner afterwards. As of the last week or two, Veronica has seemed a bit attached to me, wanting to be held more, only wanting me to change her diaper, etc...All in time for Mommy's 10 day trip to Honduras:)

We were waiting in line for ice cream and Veronica turned to me grunting and holding her hands up to be picked up. I reached down to swoop her up and was going to say, "Veronica you're going to have a tough time next week"...but all I got out was, "Veronica, you're going..." before Veronica interjected saing the following to me,

"OHHHHHHH, YOU'RE MY HONEY"

Holy smokes! I melted like butter in the sun...it was just too much.
And when I asked her to tell Daddy what she told me she said, "She's my honey" and than looked at me and said, "You're my girl".
I love being a mom:)

Nothing says I LOVE YOU like your kid puking on you:)

It was our time...we have been so healthy this winter...literally nothing ailing us. In the past month it seems everyone around us has been dropping like flies...stomach flu, pneumonia, strep, and on and on.
When I picked Isabella up from pre-school today and the first thing she said was, "My stomach hurts"...I knew we were done for:) Home we went and set up camp in mom's bed...even ate a little lunch there, but not much. She was clearly uncomfortable at times, but had ok moments, coloring, and watching cartoons. Than shortly after 4 as I was talking to my boss on the phone, she came up to me, as I picked her up, she threw up on me:) Poor thing!
Dad rushed her into the bathroom to finish and when she was done, bless her soul, the first thing she said was, "Can I still go to Halle's for dinner?". We were supposed to go to the Goehring's for dinner. Bry told her no, we wouldn't be able too and with great passion, Isabella said, "Yes we can, we can go there, I'm fine, it was just a little puke, now I'm fine, it's done"...poor thing.

No more puking the rest of the night, but she was definitely uncomfortable at times, lethargic, and in need of many snuggles. I snuggled her to sleep in our bed and she was out before 8. Poor girlie! The one thing I enjoy (and I know this sounds a little weird) about the kids getting sick is that we just STOP...nothing else matters, they need us, and the rest of the world will just have to wait. I wish life could be like that a little more often!
This sounds horrible, but I think most parents will understand this...Isabella (and Veronica too)has such a beauty about her when she is sick...I don't know what it is, but I look in her eyes and at her face and she is just breathtaking. I don't know if it's the vulnerability or what, but oh man, so beautiful. Now it's morning and I think we're in the clear...lucky...one time puke...we can handle that:)
Cute - V taking care of her sissy:)
